The invitation

Come be still, then lift your voice.

Be still, and know that I am God.

Psalm 46:10

Sometimes the most faithful thing in a loud week is to stop. This hour is for that. You do not have to perform, and you do not have to know the songs yet.

Come sit in the quiet. Let the sound carry a prayer. Rest in the presence of God before the church gathers at the table and in worship.

Jhill will play bowls, gong, drum, chimes, and voice as an offering of praise. The sound is slow on purpose. It makes room to listen, to pray for the person beside you, and to let the hurry of the day fall away.

Come on your own, or bring someone you love. No experience with a sound bath is needed.

The hour begins in stillness. The evening ends in worship.

The hour

What the sixty minutes hold

4:30 to 5:30 PM. Praise, prayer, and room to be quiet.

  1. A welcome and a prayer

The hour opens simply. A short welcome, a prayer, and time to arrive before the sound begins.

  2. Sound offered as praise

Bowls, gong, drum, chimes, and voice, played slowly as worship. The sound is an offering, not a performance.

  3. Room to pray

Stay in the quiet. Pray for someone you love, listen, or rest while the sound continues around you.

Stay for the rest

Soak, then supper, then worship.

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

Psalm 95:1
  1. 4:30

    Spirit Soak & Sound Bath

For one hour the room grows quiet. Jhill offers bowls, gong, drum, chimes, and voice as praise. Pray, listen, or rest. There is no part you have to perform.

  2. 5:30

    Potluck dinner

Stay and eat. Bring a dish to share, then sit down with the people around you before the service begins.

  3. 6:00

    Evening worship

The River’s Sunday evening service follows at 6:00. Come sing, pray, and hear the Word with the church.

When the hour ends, stay if you can. The potluck is at 5:30. The River’s evening worship is at 6:00.

Come exactly as you are. There is nothing you need to prove.
